Durable mixed edible wax coating with stretching superhydrophobicity

Abstract

A mixed edible wax coating on elastic substrates comprising sphere-shaped carnauba wax and flake-shaped beeswax superhydrophobic particles with a two-stage application (before/after stretching) shows durability against abrasion, scratch healing, self-cleaning performance, and sealing ability after stretching.
