Abstract

Correction for ‘Solution self-assembly of plasmonic Janus nanoparticles’ by Nicolò Castro et al., Soft Matter, 2016, 12, 9666–9673, DOI: 10.1039/C6SM01632D.

The authors regret the omission of molar mass details of PAA in Section 4.2 of the original article. Part of the sentence that reads, ‘40 mL of 0.645 mM poly(acrylic acid) (PAA) in water,’ should actually be, ‘40 mL of 0.645 mM poly(acrylic acid) (PAA, Mw = 6000 g mol−1, Polymer Source).’

Additionally, the authors regret an error in Section 4.3 of the original article where the incorrect units were used. The sentence ‘A 32 μM solution of the thiol in toluene was prepared’ should actually be ‘A 32 mM solution of the thiol in toluene was prepared’.

These changes do not affect the results or conclusions of the work.

The Royal Society of Chemistry apologises for these errors and any consequent inconvenience to authors and readers.
