The Royal Society of Chemistry has been made aware that the Ru 3p_3/2 electron spectrum in Fig. 8b in this Physical Chemistry Chemical Physics article was previously published by the authors in Energy & Fuels¹ as Fig. 9b. The authors have said that this is due to the synthetic method and composition of the two catalysts being the same, however, the authors are not able to provide raw data for the electron spectra for either catalyst.

Physical Chemistry Chemical Physics is publishing this Expression of concern to alert readers that we are presently unable to confirm the accuracy of the data reported in Fig. 8b this paper.
