Morphology control of ZSM-5 zeolites and their application in Cracking reaction of C4 olefin

Abstract

The morphology of ZSM-5, which was very closely related to the diffusion property, was regulated by screening thirty five types of additives with different functional groups, polarities and hydrophobicities from hydrocarbons, acetones, amines, alcohols, etc., to polymers and surfactants. The spherical, sheet-like, plate-like and noodle-like morphologies of different sizes were successfully obtained with different contents of additive. The sheet-like morphology exhibited superior catalytic performance in the cracking reaction of C4 olefin according to the catalytic activity data obtained for different morphologies.
