Abstract
Correction for ‘Photophysical properties of the intramolecular excited charge-transfer states of π-expanded styryl phenanthrimidazoles – effect of solvent polarity’ by V. Thanikachalam et al., RSC Adv., 2014, 4, 6790–6806.
The authors wish to highlight the previous study carried out by Borowicz et al.,1 which should have been cited in this RSC Advances paper.
This RSC Advances paper builds on the study reported in ref. 1 and reports new findings with a different class of compounds, however there are portions of unattributed text overlap with ref. 1.
The Royal Society of Chemistry apologises for these errors and any consequent inconvenience to authors and readers.
