Mixing the immiscible: blends of dynamic polymer networks

Abstract

A simple thermomechanical approach is used for the preparation of elastomeric blends starting from two dynamically crosslinked polymer networks, which are forced to mix and form a dynamic network blend (DNB). The new material presents superior mechanical properties to the starting materials, as shown by hardness, tensile tests and rheological measurements.
