Abstract

Correction for ‘Stereoselective synthesis of the head group of archaeal phospholipid PGP-Me to investigate bacteriorhodopsin–lipid interactions’ by Jin Cui, et al., Org. Biomol. Chem., 2015, DOI: 10.1039/c5ob01252j.


The authors regret that there was an error in one of the solvents given in Scheme 1 and in the text in the sentence beginning ‘To introduce the second phosphorus, the p-methoxybenzyl (PMB) group’. Acetone should be replaced by MeCN.

The corrected sentence should read ‘To introduce the second phosphorus, the p-methoxybenzyl (PMB) group was removed by oxidative cleavage using typical conditions (2,3-dichloro-5,6-dicyanobenzoquinone (DDQ), wet CH2Cl2; ammonium cerium(IV) nitrate (CAN), MeCN/H2O (9/1 v/v))’. The correct scheme is shown below.
