Porous WO3–carbon nanofibers: high-performance and recyclable visible light photocatalysis†
Abstract
Template-free porous carbon nanofibers embedded with WO3 (WO3–CNF) were prepared by combining electrospinning and carbonization. Ammonium tungstate hydrate was used as a semiconductor precursor and porogen. The generated pores in the CNF matrix formed pathways between the embedded WO3 and the surface of the CNFs, thus facilitating photogenerated electron transfer.
