Abstract
BiOBr single-crystalline nanosheets (SCNs) respectively with (001) and (010) dominant exposed-facets were synthesized via hydrothermal method. The SCNs with (001) dominant exposed-facets exhibited much higher photocatalytic activity for degrading 2,4-dichlorophenol under UV light. This facet-dependent photoreactivity is ascribed to facet-dependent adsorption-capacity for 2,4-dichlorophenol and charge-separation efficiency.
