Abstract

A simple technique is demonstrated to produce twisted bi- and tri-layer graphene by mild sonication of exfoliated graphite on a large scale. No oxidation or reduction of graphite is involved in this process. Hydrothermally synthesized graphite-KCl compound is used to prepare exfoliated graphite.
