Acoustofluidics 10: Scaling laws in acoustophoresis

Abstract

In Part 10 of the thematic tutorial series “Acoustofluidicsexploiting ultrasonic standing waves forces and acoustic streaming in microfluidic systems for cell and particle manipulation”, we present and analyze a number of scaling laws relevant for microsystem acoustophoresis. Such laws are useful both in understanding, designing, and analyzing acoustofluidic devices.
