Abstract

Oxidizing the trimer V3(μ3-O)(O2)(μ2-O2P(Bn)2)6(H2O) in the presence of excess tBuOOH results in V4(μ3-O)4(μ2-O2P(Bn)2)4(O4) and heating W(CO)6 and bis(benzyl)phosphinic acid in 1 : 1 EtOH/THF at 120 °C produces W4(μ3-O)4(μ2-O2P(Bn)2)4(O4).
