Abstract
A novel organotin-substituted polyoxomolybdate cluster (H3O)16[(H2O)2MoVO(OH)]2{MoVI28MoII4(NO)4(BuSnO)2[BuSn(OH)2]2O102(H2O)12}·18H2O 1 was synthesized in a ‘one-pot’ reaction by adopting the reduction–oxidation–reconstitution self-assembly process, which shows a {Mo34(NO)4Sn4} mixed metal skeleton, which is constructed from two {Mo16(NO)2Sn2} subunits being linked by two MoO6 octahedra.
