Abstract

Following on from an article by Cathy Knott in a recent issue of Pesticide Outlook (Knott, 2001), Sandy Perry (perrys@msue.msu.edu), IR-4 National Outreach Specialist, outlines the U.S approach to minor uses, especially the work of the IR-4 Program which was set up in 1963 because of the lack of available pest control products for minor crops.
