Synthesis of N-acetyllactosamine-terminated oligosaccharides — fragments of glycoprotein O-chains

Abstract

The pentasaccharide Galβ1-4GlcNAcβ1-6(Galβ1-4GlcNAcβ1-3)GalNAcαOR, its partial trisaccharides Galβ1-4GlcNAcβ1-3GalNAcαOR and Galβ1-4GlcNAcβ1-6GalNAcαOR and the tetrasaccharide Galβ1-4GlcNAcβ1-6(Galβ1-3)GalNAcαOR were synthesised as spacered derivatives (R = CH2CH2CH2NH2) using a Troc-protected lactosamine glycosyl donor at the key stage.
