Reversible electrochemistry and catalysis with Mycobacterium tuberculosis catalase-peroxidase in lipid films

Abstract

Reversible voltammetry was achieved (E°′ = −0.13 V vs. NHE at 25 °C at pH 7.1) for the FeIII/FeII redox couple of mycobacterial KatG catalase–peroxidase in films of dimyristoyl phosphatidylcholine, which also catalyzed electrochemical reductions of hydrogen peroxide and oxygen.
