Abstract
1,3,4-Triphenyl-4,5-dihydro-1H-1,2,4-triazol-5-ylidene 1 reacts with bicyclopropylidene 2 to yield four unexpected products 3–6, none of which resembles the typical [2+1] mode of cycloaddition observed for 1 with electron-deficient alkenes.
