A new thallium–thiolate coordination environment as found in the polymer [{Tl7(Sthff[hair space])6}n][PF6]n (HSthff = tetrahydrofurfurylthiol)

Abstract

The crystal structure of the polymeric thallium–thiolate salt [{Tl7(Sthff[hair space])6}n][PF6]n (HSthff = tetrahydrofurfurylthiol) shows an unusual octahedrally coordinated thallium(I) atom linking novel Tl6S6 “prismane” units.
