Abstract

An accurate digital radio frequency field generation method for magnetic resonance force microscopy on nuclei is described here. This method is used to perform and enhance several well known measurement schemes. We show that this digital setup can obtain results for the relaxation rates unaffected by system inaccuracies that are usually present in NMR devices. We also show that this digital implementation has advantages over analog setups with respect to versatility of the method. A noise based irradiation sequence is presented that allows for complete saturation of the spins in the whole sample.
