Abstract

Umpolung of ring strain by intramolecular Sn–N Lewis acid–Lewis base interaction is the key for the synthesis of thefirst organoelement oxides of the type (Ph₂SiOR₂SnOMO)[R = (CH₂)₃NMe₂; M = Bu^t₂Sn, Bu^t₂Ge, PhB] which hold potential as precursors to tertiary metal oxides.
