Synthesis and luminescence behaviour of mixed-metal rhenium(I)–copper(I) and –silver(I) alkynyl complexes. X-Ray crystal structures of [{η²-Re(CO)₃(bpy)(C[triple bond, length half m-dash]CPh)}₂Cu]PF₆ and [{η²-Re(CO)₃(bpy)(C[triple bond, length half m-dash]CPh)}₂Ag]PF₆

Abstract

Two mixed-metal rhenium(I)–copper(I) and –silver(I) alkynyl complexes, [{η²-Re(CO)₃(bpy)(C[triple bond, length half m-dash]CPh)}₂Cu]PF₆ 1 and [{η²-Re(CO)₃(bpy)(C[triple bond, length half m-dash]CPh)}₂Ag]PF₆ 2, have been synthesized and shown to exhibit rich luminescence behaviour; the X-ray crystal structures of both complexes have also been determined.
