Abstract

Two mixed-metal rhenium(I)–copper(I) and –silver(I) alkynyl complexes, [{η2-Re(CO)3(bpy)(C[triple bond, length half m-dash]CPh)}2Cu]PF6 1 and [{η2-Re(CO)3(bpy)(C[triple bond, length half m-dash]CPh)}2Ag]PF6 2, have been synthesized and shown to exhibit rich luminescence behaviour; the X-ray crystal structures of both complexes have also been determined.
