Structural distortions and the insulator to metal transition in NiCr2–xVxS4

Abstract
The insulator to metal transition in NiCr2–xVxS4 is accompanied by a structural distortion which results in the formation of zigzag chains of cations within the (Cr,V)S2 layer.
