Abstract

A bile acid derivative, N-(2-aminoethyl)-5β-cholan-24-amide, acts as an artificial cell-surface receptor capable of activating lactate dehydrogenase by performing double signal recognition and phase reorganization in a synthetic bilayer membrane.
