Abstract

Sodium trititanate, Na2Ti3O7[hair space], with a zigzag layer structure produces a surface lattice O radical upon UV irradiation and has the ability to decompose water to hydrogen and oxygen when ruthenium oxide is highly dispersed on the titanate.
