Monomeric Nickel(II) Complexes with Tetradentate Bis(benzimidazole) Ligands; Synthesis, Spectral and ¹H and ¹³C NMR Studies

Abstract

The tetradentate ligand 1,2-bis(2-benzimidazolyloxamethyl)benzene (BBB) is used to synthesize complexes of stoichiometry [Ni(BBB)X₂] where X=Cl, NCS, NO₃ or OAc; ¹H and ¹³C NMR has been used to assign the aliphatic and ring protons/carbons.
