Spectroscopic properties of KY3F10:Er3+

Abstract

Absorption, luminescence and MCD spectra of KY3F10:Er3+ have been recorded at different temperatures between liquid helium and room temperature. Crystal-field and intensity calculations are presented. Special attention is paid to the three mutually perpendicular C4v sites in the KY3F10 host crystal and to the consequences for the parameter sets.
