Abstract

The reaction between (Me3C)2MeSiNHLi and SiCl4 afforded R–NH–SiCl3 1, and (R–NH)2SiCl2 2; 1 reacted with BuLi with formation of the tetrachlorocyclodisilazane (RN–SiCl2)2 3, R = SiMe(CMe3)2, hydrogenation of which with LiAlH4 resulted in the first cyclodisilazane (RN–SiH2)2 4.
