Abstract

Two structurally characterized tetraruthenium carbonyl clusters, [Ru4(CO)9(µ-CO)24-NH)(µ42-HC2Tol)] 1 and [Ru4(CO)9(µ-CO)24-NC(O)OMe}(µ42-HC2Tol)] 2, have been isolated from the reaction between [Ru3(CO)93-CO)(µ3-NOMe)] and tolylacetylene (HC2Tol) in refluxing n-octane.
