Abstract

The complex obtained from [Ru3(CO)12] and cyclododeca-1,5,9-triene, previously identified as [Ru3(µ-H)(µ3-C12H15)(CO)9] from a crystal structure determination using photographic data, has now been shown to contain a µ3-C12H17 ligand, by a combination of diffractometer data, electrospray mass spectra and detailed 1H and 13C NMR spectrometry.
