Abstract

The nitrogen nucleophile HN(OH)C(O)OBut reacts with non-racemic chiral tricarbonylchromium(0) complexes of benzylic ethers with retention of configuration to provide a novel approach to non-racemic N-hydroxycarbamates and amines.
