Abstract

Exchange reactions of [Re2(µ-OR)3(CO)6] (R = H, Me) with alcohols and phenol have been established by electrospray mass spectrometry (ESMS); dehydration of [Re2(µ-OH)3(CO)6] and the β-hydride elimination reaction of [Re2(µ-OMe)3(CO)6] have also been observed under ESMS conditions.
