Abstract

An yttrium aluminium oxide dodecyl sulfate mesophase with a hexagonal structure has been synthesized by a homogeneous precipitation method using urea and was converted into a porous material with a specific surface area of 662 m2 g–1 by anion exchange of the surfactant with acetate ion.
