Abstract
The packing motif and/or thermal stability of a crystal is controlled by intermolecular C–F···π interactions.

Although the inclusion properties of triphenylmethanol, X-ray crystal
structure and thermal release of the guest component of its methanol
clathrate have been reported (ref. 5), we performed DSC analysis and a reexamination
of the X-ray diffraction study (not shown) of it here for
comparison.
