Abstract

In methanol, the defect nitrosylpolyoxomolybdate [Mo5O13(OMe)4(NO)]3– reacts with Ag+ to give the complex [Ag2{Mo5O13(OMe)4(NO)}2]4– which displays attractive interactions between the two square-planar closed-shell AgI cations.
