Dinuclear cyclometallated platinum(II) complex as a sensitive luminescent probe for SDS micelles

Abstract

The photoluminescent properties of two dinuclear cyclometallated Pt^II complexes, [Pt₂L¹₂(µ-dppm)]²⁺ 1 and [Pt₂L²₂(µ-dppm)]²⁺ 2, in SDS micellar solution are studied and 1 is found to undergo enhancement of luminescence as well as switching of emissive states upon incorporation into SDS micelle.
