Abstract

The gas phase pyrolysis of involatile species has been studied by injection of solutions in inert solvents into SF6 gas heated by CO2 laser radiation; the gas phase chemistry reflects the distribution of species present in solution, and may potentially be controlled through parameters such as solution pH.
