Abstract
A number of derivatives of the hitherto unreportedpyrrolo[3,2-f ]quinolin-7-one tricyclic system have beensynthesised from 6-nitroquinolone by successive reduction,tosylation, methylation, detosylation, prop-2-ynylation andtreatment with m -chloroperoxybenzoic acid.
