Abstract

3-Aminothiophenes and 2,3-dihydro-1,3,4-thiadiazoles are synthesised via the reaction of 2-cyano-2-[4-(2-naphthyl)-1,3-thiazol-2-yl]thioacetanilides with α-haloketones or hydrazonoyl halides.
