New directions in amido–transition metal chemistry: the preparation and reaction of mixed amino–amido macrocyclic ligands

Abstract

The synthesis and reactivity of cyclam (1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane) in which the donor atoms were amino–amido or exclusively amido groups with ZrCl₄(thf )₂ (thf = tetrahydrofuran) are described.
