Some heterobimetallic acyl and µ-acyl-rhodium complexes have been
isolated from reactions of the phosphido-bridged complexes
(OC)4M(µ-PPh2)2RhH(CO)(PPh3
) with the phosphinoalkenes
Ph2P(CH2)nCHCH2
where M = Cr, Mo or W and
n = 1–3. Several of the complexes have been
fully characterized and their potential role as intermediates in the
catalytic hydroformylation of the parent phosphines investigated and
discussed.
