Reduction of cis-[Ni{P(C6H11)2H} 2Cl2] with sodium afforded the dinuclear nickel complex [{Ni[µ-P(C6H11)2][P(C6 H11)2H]}2] which, in turn, reacted with CO producing [{Ni[µ-P(C6H11)2](CO)2 }2]. The reduction of cis-[Pd{P(C6H11)2H} 2Cl2] occurred in two steps giving first [Pd2{µ-P(C6H11)2 }Cl{P(C6H11)2H}3 ], then [{Pd[µ-P(C6H11)2][P(C6 H11)2H]}2]. The structure of the chloride complex was determined.
