Abstract

The crystal structures of the complexes [(Me2AsO2)2{Me2AsO(OH) }{WO(O2)}2O]·H2O 1 and [NMe4][(Ph2PO2)2{WO2 (O2)}2{WO(O2)(OH)(OH 2)}]·EtOH·H2O·0.5MeOH 2 have been determined and their Raman and infrared spectra recorded. In the binuclear complex 1 two distorted pentagonal-bipyramidal WO7 units are bridged via two tetrahedral Me2AsO2 ligands, a µ-oxo and the oxygen atom of a protonated Me2AsO(OH) ligand. The trinuclear complex 2 has two {WO(O2)2} units and one {WO(O2)(OH)(H2O)} unit linked via a µ3-oxo, two µ-oxo and two diphenylphosphinate ligands. In both complexes the peroxide ligands are side bonded in a symmetric η2 fashion.
