Novel dimanganese(ii) complexes with (µ-H2O)(µ-OAc)2 bridges. Models for dimanganese enzymes

Abstract

We describe the syntheses and characterization of two new complexes, Mn2(µ-H2O)(µ-OAc)2(L)4( OAc)2 1 (L = imidazole) and 2 (L = benzimidazole), which display some novel structural features, and may have implications for the hydrolytic activity of arginase.
