Tandem prop-2-ynyl carbenoid–aldehyde insertion into zirconacycles

Abstract

Insertion of 1-lithio-1-chloroalk-2-ynes into zirconacycles gives cyclic zirconocene η³-prop-2-ynyl/allenyl complexes which afford useful organic products on protonation or Lewis acid induced addition of aldehydes.
