During the aziridination of styrene with PhINR (R =
SO2C6H4Me-p) the
copper(III) catalyst
[Cu(η2-S2CNMe2)2][FeCl
4] is converted into the crystallographically characterised
tetraamido complex
[Cu{η2-RNSC(NMe2)SNR}2], a
result of nitrene insertion into all four copper–sulfur bonds.
