Abstract

A novel open-framework tin phosphate made of strictly alternating SnO3 and PO4 moieties contains two intersecting channels; the protonated 1,4-diaminobutane molecules are situated in one of the channels and the lone pairs of SnII extend into the other, preventing access to the channel.
