One-dimensional alignment of organometallic donor–acceptor compounds via coordination polymerization. Synthesis and structures of [W(≡CC₆H₄X-4)(OBu^t)₃] _∞ (X = NMe₂, SMe)

Abstract

Metal–alkylidyne complexes of the type W(≡CC₆H₄X-4)(OBu^t)₃ (X = NMe₂, SMe), which are analogues of classic organic donor–acceptor compounds, form infinite-chain structures in the solid state through weak intermolecular dative bonds between the tungsten and donor atoms.
