Abstract

High-resolution time-of-flight neutron and synchrotron X-ray powder diffraction studies of the ‘orthorhombic’ form of the high-Tc superconductor Tl2Ba2CuO6+δ evidence both the orthorhombic (Fmmm) phase and a new monoclinic (F112/m) form at high excess oxygen contents δ.
