Abstract

A structure determination reveals that [Ni2(LSO)- (NCS)2(dmf)] 2 is one of the best structural models to date for the active site of [Ni,Fe] hydrogenases: it also contains the first example of a high-spin thiolate-bound square-pyramidal nickel(II) ion.
