Synthesis, crystal structure and rearrangement of a methylene(ylene)- phosphorane containing a CH₂-moiety at an sp²-hybridized phosphorus(v) centre

Abstract

The reaction of the iminophosphane, (Me₃Si)₃C–P=N–Mes*, with Me₂S=CH₂ affords the first methylenephosphorane containing a CH₂ moiety at an sp²-hybridized phosphorus(V) centre; the crystal structure as well the rearrangement of which is reported.
